Welcome to Villa Hesnæs. Calm and nature.
We welcome you with the intention of inspiring you not only inside the house, but also in its surroundings. Breathe in the sea, let your gaze rest on the horizon, and borrow from nature. Come and relax, unwind, sleep well, enjoy good meals, and feel at home.
On Northeast Falster, partly sheltered by the forest and overlooking the ever-changing horizon of the Baltic Sea, lies Villa Hesnæs. A former forest ranger’s residence from 1897, carefully revived as a guesthouse where nature, culture, and hospitality merge.
Villa Hesnæs was originally designed by architect Gotfred Tvede for Det Classenske Fideicommis and today stands as a rare example of how historic architecture can be brought into the present without losing its soul. The forest forms the backdrop, the sea the foreground — inviting calm, reflection, and slowness in a time defined by speed and noise.
Villa Hesnæs is a villa offering both simplicity and abundance.
The simple, because once you are here, there is not much you need to do. Embrace it. Bring a good book, play a game of chess, or sleep deeply and long. Eat good food, drink a cold beer or a fine glass of wine, and enjoy the horizon — in summer or winter.
The abundant, because there are many possibilities. Sauna, steam bath, infrared sauna. Sea bathing, long walks, runs, outdoor training, yoga in the loft, cycling trips, golf outings — you set your own limits, and you choose the rhythm.
We simply provide the fuel and fresh air for both mind and heart — with heart.
